I was born and
raised in Columbus Texas. Most of my childhood and teen age
years were spent on the family farm in Cat Spring, Texas either
working with the cattle and the chores associated with farming &
ranching or just having fun fishing, hunting and exploring. I am
blessed to be a fifth generation of the Dittmar family to own
some of this property that was originally homesteaded in
1875.
After graduation from Columbus High School I attended Texas A&M
University where I graduated with a BS degree in 1983. During my
college years I worked in the oil & gas business and continued
in that industry after graduation. In 1985 I acquired my Texas
Real Estate license which I utilized in a part time capacity.
While working in the O&G industry I was able to travel and live
throughout the Rocky Mountains. I have called New Mexico,
Colorado, Wyoming, and Alberta, Canada all home at one time or
another. Although these are some nice places to hang your hat, I
always knew I would return home to live in Colorado County. Like
the old cliché "There ain't no place like Home", and when it is
a place like Columbus, it just makes it that much more urgent to
get back.
In 2004, my wife, a native of Cheyenne Wyoming, and I moved back
to Colorado County. Shortly after this I reactivated my Real
Estate license with Leyco Realty and have enjoyed helping people
find that special home or piece of property they are looking
for. Currently I am active in the real estate industry, the oil
& gas industry, and the reason my wife and I have to work,
ranching.
Please feel free to contact me any time to discuss your real
estate options, no matter if you are looking to buy or
interested in selling. No matter what you choose to do, or who
you choose to help broker your transactions, I still wish you
all the best.
